# Main info

Dlicom is a full-stack social and financial application built mobile-first. It combines the interaction patterns of modern social media — feeds, short-form video, communities, direct messaging — with a native Web3 wallet, in-app DeFi access, and on-chain earning mechanics. These are not separate modules with different UX layers. They are integrated into a single experience that makes moving between social participation and financial participation feel as natural as switching between tabs.

### Social Platform

The social layer of Dlicom covers the full range of interaction formats that define contemporary social media. Users post content to feeds, comment, react, and share. Short-form vertical video is supported through DliClips, which brings the highest-engagement format in social media directly into Dlicom, with on-chain $DLI tipping enabled on every piece of content. Communities in Dlicom have their own dedicated channels, role structures, and moderation tools, with the option to layer DAO-style governance on top so that community members can vote on decisions using their token holdings.

Direct messaging supports both individual and group conversations, with the ability to send tokens and assets directly within a chat thread. This removes the friction of switching between a messaging app and a wallet whenever a financial interaction is needed.

### The Dlicom Wallet

Every Dlicom account includes a self-custodial Web3 wallet. Self-custodial means the user holds their own private keys. Dlicom does not have access to users' funds and cannot freeze, reverse, or restrict their assets. This is a foundational design choice, not a feature: on-chain ownership requires on-chain control.

The wallet supports multi-chain EVM interactions, covering Base, Ethereum, and all EVM-compatible networks. It handles $DLI and other ERC-20 tokens, NFT storage and display, and connects directly to the in-app Web3 browser for DeFi access. In-app tipping works seamlessly across content types — a viewer watching a DliClip can send $DLI to the creator with a single tap. The wallet is Shariah-compliant in its mechanics, making Dlicom accessible to communities where Islamic finance principles apply.

The in-app Web3 browser deserves particular attention. It allows users to access any dApp, DeFi protocol, or Web3 service without leaving Dlicom. For users new to Web3, this eliminates the fragmentation that typically makes DeFi feel inaccessible: there is no need to manage a separate browser extension wallet, no need to understand how to connect to MetaMask, no need to navigate between multiple apps. The social experience and the financial experience are the same experience.

### Technical Architecture

Dlicom is deployed on Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 network built and maintained by Coinbase. The choice of Base is deliberate across several dimensions. Transaction fees on Base are a small fraction of those on Ethereum mainnet, which makes micro-transactions economically viable. When a user sends a $0.50 tip or casts a governance vote, the gas cost should not exceed the value of the transaction. Base solves this problem. Block times are fast enough that on-chain interactions feel immediate rather than slow, which matters for social platform UX where users expect instant feedback.

Full EVM compatibility means Dlicom connects to the entire Ethereum ecosystem from day one — the full range of DeFi protocols, DEXs, bridges, and infrastructure tools are accessible through the platform's in-app browser. Coinbase's involvement in Base also provides institutional credibility and liquidity access that matters as the platform scales.

The $DLI smart contract has been independently audited by Hacken, one of the most recognized security auditing firms in the blockchain industry. The audit covers all contract logic, token mechanics, and potential vulnerability vectors. The contract address is 0xaEA751A85F7B217cE234601D02D369249eD5be2F, and all audit findings are publicly verifiable.

### Current Application — Version 2.1.0

The current release of Dlicom includes DliClips, the in-app Web3 browser, EVM-based tipping, full community tools with channel management, complete Arabic language support with right-to-left interface rendering, a 24/7 in-app Help Center, and significant performance improvements including faster feed loading and smoother video playback. The platform is available on iOS and Android.

### Who Uses Dlicom

Dlicom is designed for two overlapping groups. The first is the mass of social media users who have not yet engaged with crypto — people who spend hours daily on content and community platforms but have never set up a wallet or bought a token. For this group, Dlicom provides the familiar social experience they already know, with a wallet and earning mechanics built in from the start. There is no separate onboarding to the financial layer. It is already there.

The second group is the existing Web3 community that has been waiting for consumer-grade social infrastructure. These users are already comfortable with wallets, tokens, and DeFi — they want communities, content tools, and governance that fit their on-chain lives, not a separate app they have to bridge to every time they want to do something financial. Dlicom builds the social layer their on-chain lives have been missing.
